Green Horizons is a one-of-a-kind residence situated on the outskirts of Puivert village in the beautiful Languedoc region of Southern France. Nestled within six acres (6000 square meters) of stunning park and woodland, our house offers a serene and picturesque setting. Guests are invited to bask in the sun on the terrace, take leisurely strolls through the meadow, unwind in a hammock among the cool trees, or simply relax by the inviting swimming pool. Additionally, our pool house bar and summer kitchen, complete with a built-in barbecue, are at your disposal. Our aim is to provide a harmonious blend of tranquility, natural beauty, and convenient access to village shops, the swimming lake and beach, and a wide range of activities. Whether you are an individual, couple, or family, Green Horizons offers a comfortable and welcoming stay.

DOUBLE ROOM WITH BREAKFAST:

Indulge in the charm of our lovely double room, featuring a spacious and cozy four-poster bed, ample storage space, and delightful views of the grounds and woods. Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided for your convenience. Adjacent to the bedroom, you will find a generously-sized private bathroom equipped with a bath and separate shower. We have taken care to furnish it with towels, a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel, and even toothpaste.

To start your day off right, we offer a wholesome breakfast that includes a variety of cereals, fruit and yogurt, freshly baked croissants and bread with honey and jam, cheese and boiled eggs, fruit juices, and a choice of coffee or tea. On sunny days, breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace or in the conservatory. If you wish, you may also pre-order a packed lunch consisting of breads and cheeses, ham, salad, fruit, and wine for a nominal fee of 7.50 euros per person (5 euros for children).

For cozy evenings, you are welcome to join us in our spacious lounge, complete with a warm log fire, an assortment of books and board games, and a selection of DVDs. Throughout your stay, you will have access to free Wi-Fi throughout the house.

SELF-CATERING STUDIO APARTMENT:

The Braque Suite is a bright and spacious self-catering studio apartment with its own private terrace and barbecue area overlooking the garden and pool. This delightful space is perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or families with a young child. The studio features a well-equipped kitchen area, a comfortable double bed, a cozy sofa corner, and a dining table with chairs, as well as ample storage space. The bathroom offers a refreshing rainforest shower and comes complete with a hairdryer, towels, shampoo, and shower gel. We are happy to provide a travel cot and baby bath, or a futon for an older child. Your private entrance includes a driveway and parking space. Inside the apartment, you will find a collection of DVDs, English television, books, board games, and a stereo/CD player. Enjoy a delicious meal or a glass of wine on your own sun-drenched terrace or under the pergola, explore the grounds, or take a dip in the spacious pool, furnished with plenty of sun loungers. The pool-house summer kitchen is also at your disposal.

Upon your arrival, a welcome pack awaits you, containing tea, coffee, sugar, milk, as well as bread and cereal for breakfast. The studio apartment is self-catering, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely stroll to the local boulangerie for freshly baked bread and croissants in the morning, fetching milk from a nearby farm after milking hours in the evening, filling a "cubis" with wine from the organic vineyard, and shopping at local markets for seasonal vegetables. If you prefer a break from cooking, Puivert village offers a range of restaurants, bars, and cafes around the lake during the season, while Chalabre (a 10-minute drive or 20-minute bike ride away) boasts year-round dining options.

Directions

There are two convenient options for transportation. Firstly, there is ample parking available if you prefer to drive. Alternatively, we can assist in arranging a transfer from Quillan. Quillan has excellent transport links from Perpignan and Carcassonne, with affordable one euro fares. This makes it convenient for both rail travel via Paris and Lille, as well as budget flights from the UK. If you need any guidance regarding transportation, feel free to ask for our advice.
