There are several important cities in the area, including Carcassonne, Perpignan, and Toulouse. To reach Espéraza from Carcassonne, which is a medieval walled city, you can take a 50-kilometer journey south. Ryanair offers daily flights from Stansted near London to Carcassonne, particularly during the low season, with affordable mid-week fares. At the airport, you can easily rent a car. Alternatively, there is a rail link and a coach service available from the airport to Espéraza.
From Perpignan, which is located on the coast near the Spanish border, Espéraza is approximately 70 kilometers northwest. Ryanair also provides daily flights from Stansted to Perpignan, offering affordable fares mid-week during the low season. Just like in Carcassonne, you can hire a car at the airport.
