The charming farmhouse, originally constructed in 1802 and thoughtfully renovated to preserve its original charm, is situated on a tranquil lane in the outskirts of Chignat hamlet. Surrounded by expansive gardens and accompanied by barns on one side, the farmhouse offers a serene retreat. The meticulously landscaped grounds span over 2 hectares and feature an array of splendid trees, vibrant flowering shrubs, well-maintained lawns, meadows, and a flourishing vegetable garden.

The accommodation consists of five inviting bedrooms, including a double room, a family room, two twin bedded rooms, and a single room. Bernie, a skilled professional cook, prepares exquisite 5-star, 4-course meals for guests in the evenings. The ingredients used are predominantly organic and sourced either from the farmhouse's own vegetable garden or from local suppliers. A hearty breakfast is also included in the room rate, ensuring a delightful start to each day of your vacation. The breakfast options encompass a selection of fruit juice, cereal, organic muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, homemade bread, preserves, porridge during colder weather, and an abundance of coffee.

Nestled on 5 acres of gently sloping meadow, this intimate campsite offers 25 pitches and boasts a captivating variety of mature trees, shrubs, and an abundance of birdlife. Don't forget your binoculars! The campsite provides electric hook-ups for six caravans or camping cars, and additionally offers the rental of two spacious and well-equipped trailer tents. Impeccable sanitary facilities, including a disabled shower and toilet, are available for guests' convenience. The campsite also operates a waste water treatment system using a reed bed, and fully embraces a recycling policy. Furthermore, a games room is located in one of the barns, and guests have access to a fridge and a washing machine.

To locate Chignat, please note that it is often referred to as Chignal on maps, for reasons unknown. Upon reaching Bourganeuf, you will encounter a roundabout (there is only one). From there, take the D37 followed by the D8 in the direction of Lac de Vassivière. Continue on this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you come across our blue signs indicating a left turn. Follow these signs to reach Chignat, and you will easily identify our property by its unique gates.
