Welcome to this former Cistercian Abbey nestled in the picturesque heart of France, where Saskia and Martijn have been graciously hosting guests for over a decade. This enchanting holiday retreat, encompassing a historic complex spanning 5.5 hectares of lush parkland, offers a variety of delightful accommodations. Choose from charming guest rooms in the main building, cozy holiday apartments in the outbuildings, or experience the romance of staying in one of our gipsy caravans nestled at the forest's edge.In the evenings, Saskia and Martijn extend a warm invitation to their guests, encouraging them to join in a sumptuous dining experience at the table d'hôtes. Whether it's a festive affair set under the cover of a long table in the open air or a cozy gathering in the Grand Salon, adorned with a magnificent fireplace, guests are ensured a memorable culinary journey. For those with a passion for cooking, avid golfers, enthusiastic hikers, avid cyclists, or simply those who relish the good life, special arrangements can be made to cater to your interests.

Description for Gite
We offer 6 charming gîtes with 2-4 bedrooms, each featuring a well-equipped bathroom with a washbasin, bath, and separate shower. There is also a separate toilet for your convenience. The open-plan kitchen is fully furnished with a vitro-ceramic plate, extractor, combination microwave, large refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment, dishwasher, Senseo coffeemaker, kettle, blender, toaster, and all the necessary cooking utensils and crockery. Each gîte is equipped with electric heating and offers free Wi-Fi. Please note that there is no TV available.Outside, you will find a terrace with comfortable teak garden furniture, a parasol, and a barbecue, perfect for enjoying the outdoors.
Our cottages are available for weekly rentals and include all necessary bedding and towels (1 set per person per week). However, please bring your own towels for use at the swimming pool. We also provide a start package that includes coffee pads, tea, waste disposal bags, cleaning materials, and toilet paper.
To make your stay even more enjoyable, we take care of the final clean-up, so you don't have to worry about it on the day of departure. We also welcome pets in our cottages, but please contact us in advance to discuss any additional charges.

Coordinates: 01°4607.35 longitude and latitude 45°5933.10. Upon arrival, please drive up to the courtyard and park your car at the parking lot after unloading your luggage.
- If you are coming from Bourganeuf, take the D941 towards Gueret/Clermont-Ferrand. After approximately 300 meters outside the built-up area, take a left onto the D 940A towards Bosmoreau-les-Mines. After around 4 kilometers on this road, you will see the entrance gate of lAbbaye du Palais on your right.
- If you are coming from Guéret, take the D 940 towards Pontarion/Bourganeuf. After passing the Forêt domanial de Chabrières, take a right onto the D940A towards la Chapelle Taillefert. Continue on this road for about 18 kilometers, crossing the bridge over the Thaurion. After approximately 500 meters on the left, you will find the entrance gate of lAbbaye du Palais.
- If you are coming from Aubusson, take the D 941 towards Limoges. In Pontarion, just before the river, turn right onto the D10 towards Bosmoreau-les-Mines. After 2.5 kilometers, turn left onto the D 43 towards Bosmoreau-les-Mines. After 3 kilometers, turn left onto the D 940A towards Bourganeuf. Continue on this road for approximately 3 kilometers, crossing the bridge over the Thaurion. After around 500 meters on the left, you will find the entrance gate of lAbbaye du Palais.
