Introducing our new and charming cottage for 2020! Nestled in the serene countryside of Côtes dArmor, bordering Morbihan, this delightful cottage offers a cosy and inviting atmosphere for up to 4/5 guests. With the option of an additional sofa bed, it is perfect for families or small groups. Located just a 20-minute drive from the lively medieval town of Josselin, known for its impressive chateau on the Nantes-Brest Canal, you'll have access to a range of attractions and activities.Situated away from busy roads, you can rest assured that tranquility awaits you. We, your friendly hosts, live next door and will warmly welcome you upon arrival. To ensure your stay gets off to a great start, we provide a welcome pack and a complimentary breakfast for your first morning.
The cottage itself is warm, welcoming, and comfortable, complete with a private garden and a BBQ area where you can unwind after a day of exploring beautiful Brittany. All bedding, towels, and tea towels are provided, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The open-plan living/dining/kitchen area is perfect for socializing, and a lovely wood burner adds a cozy touch (alternative heating options are also available). Stay connected with Wi-Fi and enjoy both English and French TV channels. Parking spaces are available on site.
Well-behaved pets are welcome, and smoking is not permitted. For families with children, we offer outdoor activities such as swings, ball games, a foosball table, and a dartboard. Should you wish to venture to the coast, we are conveniently located within an hour's drive of various seaside resorts, including the Gulf of Morbihan, the Atlantic coast, and the wild granite coast in the north of Brittany. Inland, there are numerous sites to explore and plenty of restaurants to discover.
Nearby attractions include Aquaval in Merdrignac (24km), a nautical base in Plémet (16km), and Kingoland in Plumelin (48km). We also recommend visiting the Abbaye of Notre Dame de Trimadeuc in Bréhan (7km) or the Abbaye de Bon Repos in St Gelven (40km). During the summer months, you can cool off at the open-air swimming pool in la Chèze, just a 15-minute drive away, which features a thrilling water slide and a separate pool for younger children. For equestrian enthusiasts, the nearby equestrian center in St Barnabé (15mn drive) offers pony and horse rides throughout the year. If you prefer a lakeside retreat, there is a lake within a short drive, complete with a man-made beach and water sports facilities.
