Welcome to Simply Canvas, where you can experience the ultimate glamping and cottages/gites experience with a stunning enclosed swimming pool surrounded by picturesque countryside views near Bergerac in Southwest France. We are thrilled to announce that our booking season for 2017 is now open!

Our 6 safari tents offer a truly luxurious camping experience, complete with private bathrooms and comfortable boxspring beds that will make your camping adventure even more enjoyable. Alternatively, you can choose from our three self-catering cottages or gites, one of which is incredibly spacious and will make you never want to leave. All of our accommodations are situated on our expansive 12.5 acre property, nestled in the heart of the countryside and boasting breathtaking views. Of course, we also have a large enclosed swimming pool for everyone to enjoy.

Located on the border of the Lot et Garonne and Dordogne departments in the Aquitaine region of Southwest France, we are conveniently close to Bergerac. Our region is often compared to Tuscany in France due to its stunning rolling hills, sunflower fields, charming wine chateaus, meandering rivers, historic bastide villages, picturesque walking trails, and majestic castles.

Amidst this incredible beauty, we warmly invite you to experience a wonderful holiday with us. It's a time for your family to relax and create memories, for children to make new friends, and for everyone to embark on delightful outings. Join us for our famous delicious dinners, where we serve local delicacies, fresh veggies from our own garden, and engage in enjoyable conversations around the dining table.

Stone B&B Cottage:
Experience the idyllic charm of the stone B&B cottage at Simply Canvas. Built with beautiful regional stones and adorned with lovely natural details, this cottage boasts a charming living room and a small kitchen. The double bedroom in the mezzanine offers a cozy sitting area, while downstairs you'll find another bedroom for two children, a large shower room, and a toilet. With approximately 800 square feet of space, this cottage is perfect for families or couples. Outside, you can relax on the private terrace with sun chairs or find shade under the plum tree while enjoying the view over the fields with a book in hand.

White B&B Cottage:
Indulge in the delightful ambiance of the white B&B cottage at Simply Canvas. This beautifully decorated and light-filled house spans approximately 700 square feet and features double doors that allow the afternoon sunshine to stream in. The cottage includes a small living room with a small kitchen, a double bedroom in the mezzanine accessed by stairs, and another double bedroom, separate bathroom, and separate toilet downstairs. Step outside through the double doors to find a cozy terrace with a couch and chairs. Additionally, we've created an extra area with sun beds around the corner behind the house. Of course, guests have access to our entire 12.5-acre property.

Big Holiday Home:
For those seeking luxury and ample space, our large holiday home is the perfect choice. This completely self-catering house, formerly the "chai" where wine was produced on our property, has been renovated into a spacious and bright property spanning 1500 square feet. Upon arrival, guests are often amazed by the home's beauty, even surpassing their expectations from the website photos. The large open space living room is accompanied by a kitchen equipped with a TV and DVD player. A glass-enclosed veranda serves as the dining room and offers a tranquil place to start your day with a newspaper. The holiday home also features a private garden with a stone BBQ, outdoor dining table, and sun chairs. Other amenities include a double bedroom, separate toilet, and a special room for children, where they can sleep in the remains of old stone wine barrels. This room is perfect for accommodating 2-3 children.

Safari Tents:
At Simply Canvas, we offer six small-scale safari tents, each uniquely decorated. For those desiring more privacy, one tent is slightly separate from the others, while the remaining five are spread across a 1.25-acre field, providing superb views of the surrounding fields. All tents feature a veranda, privacy, and comfortable beds (we sleep on them ourselves). As an added bonus, each tent has its own bathroom just a few steps away.

Please note that the prices for your stay at Simply Canvas vary depending on the time of year and the accommodation chosen. The prices provided are for stays outside of July and August in 2017. From Bordeaux:
Take the ring road towards Périgueux/Libourne and enter the highway (toll) just before Libourne. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5km, take a left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 220m until you reach a white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.

From Brive la Gaillarde:
Take the highway towards Bordeaux/Bergerac. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5km, take a left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 200m until you reach a white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.
