Description for B&B:
Mas St Joseph, built in 1790, holds a rich historical significance as the former living quarters for a nearby monastery. Today, much of the original monastery has been integrated into the peach farm, creating additional farmhouse accommodations and various barns. The beautiful chapel is located on the opposite side. The mas still exudes a tranquil atmosphere from its past, boasting spacious rooms and breathtaking views of the peach orchards, hills, and mountains. Within the rooms, visitors can find traditional Catalan brocante items on display and available for purchase. On the ground floor, guests are welcomed by an entrance hallway adorned with exposed stonework and beams. A large refectory table offers a space for indoor dining when the weather doesn't permit eating outside. Two guest sitting rooms are available. The first provides satellite TV, a granule burner for heating, and various facilities like a desk, maps, regional information, and an electric cool box. The second, larger sitting room also offers satellite TV and a DVD player. French doors lead to a Moroccan-style patio courtyard with a barbecue and seating area on one side, as well as a swimming pool and additional seating area on the other. Guests have the freedom to choose where they would like to enjoy their breakfast.
Accommodation options include three bedrooms and a self-contained studio, each equipped with brand new en-suite shower and toilet facilities. Wi-Fi and satellite TV are available in all rooms. The room rates include a generous continental breakfast, and picnic lunches and evening meals can be arranged upon request.
Chambre de l'Abbé, formerly the sleeping quarters for the abbot when the Mas was a monastery, offers a sunny ambiance with stunning views of the peach orchards and the tree-covered hills to the south. It features a comfortable antique double bed and a standard TV with satellite channels. Please note that the en-suite shower/WC room is compact and may not be suitable for larger guests.
Chambre du Canigou showcases exposed stone work and views towards Mount Canigou, a sacred mountain in Catalonia. It boasts a Queen size double bed, a big screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, and a spacious en-suite shower room with a WC. This room is perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway.
Chambre du Soleil faces south, offering a light and airy atmosphere with the same stunning views as Chambre de l'Abbé. It features a super King size bed, a writing desk, a big screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, and a spacious en-suite shower room and WC. This room can also be configured with twin single beds upon request.
The Studio Catalan, located on the top floor of the Mas, provides views of both Mount Canigou and the tree-covered hills. It includes a mezzanine level that can accommodate up to three people with two single beds (or one super king size double) and a futon bed. With additional sleeping space on a sofa bed in the main room, the maximum capacity is five people. The studio offers a compact shower room/WC, a dining table, and a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, and electric kettle (no stove or oven). Guests can enjoy a wide screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, a pull-down cinema screen, a ceiling-mounted digital projector, a small library, and two comfortable sofas. Please note that due to the stairs to the mezzanine, the studio is not suitable for the elderly, disabled, or children.
