Russell, Heather, Louis, and Henry extend a warm invitation to experience the exquisite comfort and opulence of their magnificent 19th-century Chateau. Nestled in the charming village of Salechan, at the base of the Pyrenean Mountains, this lovingly restored haven offers a choice of five spacious and luxurious rooms, each equipped with en-suite facilities and boasting breathtaking mountain views. Originally constructed in 1873, this three-story retreat is privately enclosed, standing majestically back from the Route Nationale. Its impressive facade features striking marble columns and a balcony that exudes grandeur. Step inside to discover a sweeping staircase, original parquet flooring, and a distinctive marble fireplace in every room, among other delightful surprises. Our enchanting rooms are named after the picturesque views they provide. Situated at the front of the house, the Chambre St Julien beckons you to two private balconies, one of which overlooks the Pyrenees, offering a captivating vista towards the beautiful Spa town of Bagneres De Luchon. This south-facing room boasts generous dimensions, exuding character with its lovingly restored original ceiling, parquet flooring, and stunning marble fireplace. Its bathroom is equipped with both a bath and shower, and it opens onto a private south-facing balcony.
Also positioned proudly at the front of the house is the Chambre Pic Du Gar. This centrally located room features a grand balcony and mesmerizing views of Pic du Gar, providing unparalleled comfort and tranquility. The room itself is incredibly spacious, boasting a lofty ceiling and a beautiful wooden floor. Guests often favor its original fireplace and tastefully neutral decor.
The Chambre Pic du Gar also offers the convenience of an en-suite with a large walk-in shower that stretches the length of the room. Double doors open onto a private balcony, further enhancing the charm of this delightful space.
We cordially invite you to join us for breakfast in our exquisitely wood-paneled dining room. During the summer months, the doors can be opened, leading to a tiled terrace, allowing you to savor your sumptuous continental breakfast amidst a truly stunning ambiance, setting the perfect tone for your day.
In the evening, we eagerly await your return for a delectable dinner experience. The dining room, adorned with a Louis 13th chandelier, provides a picturesque setting in which to savor local delicacies. By prior arrangement, we offer aperitifs followed by a three-course meal, showcasing the region's culinary delights. Our experienced host ensures an exceptional dining experience, as attested by a recent guest who acclaimed our dining room as the finest in the area.
Accompanying your meal will be a selection of red or white wine, as well as coffee. Vegetarian options are available upon request. For families with young children, we are more than happy to arrange an earlier dining time to accommodate their routines.
