Description for B&B:
Located on the southern foothills of the Vosges, our historic farm, La Petite Rosière, occupies a secluded spot where the high plateau of the mille-étangs ("thousand ponds") begins. Nestled just above the commune of La Rosière, our farm is situated at the end of a small road, ensuring tranquility and privacy. With no traffic in sight, our property offers an unobstructed view of the surrounding landscape, allowing for leisurely walks along forest and meadow paths or embarking on extensive hikes. The farmhouse, along with the old bakehouse and the small "tourelle," forms a charming ensemble. Across from our property lies an expansive orchard that gently slopes down to a picturesque bathing lake with a magnificent rock formation. Beyond the lake, an enchanting deciduous forest awaits, with its moss-covered rocks, ancient trees, and hidden viewpoints exuding a magical atmosphere. Above our house, farm, and lake, the spring meadow stretches across the other side of the old donkey path, once the lifeline connecting our farm to the outside world. This meadow provides the water supply for our house, and a section of it is dedicated to growing vegetables and potatoes. Whether it's by the pond, on the forest's edge, among the rocks, or amidst the blooming natural meadows, every corner of our property, surrounded by a variety of beech, oak, birch, and ash trees, offers a serene and immersive experience in nature.Reviews
