Our guest house is situated in a beautiful countryside oasis of peace and tranquility, surrounded by panoramic views and green valleys. Whether you're looking to relax during the long, balmy summers or explore the incredible natural scenery in the colorful spring or autumn, Château Labistoul is the perfect place for you.Our accommodation can sleep up to 18 people in two separate rooms - one double, one twin - as well as a spacious family gite/farmhouse. Each room comes with a private bathroom for your convenience. During your stay, you can enjoy our two swimming pools, beautiful landscaped garden with an ancient lavoir, and a courtyard featuring an old fountain where we serve breakfast.
The history of Château Labistoul dates back to the 11th century when it was originally built as a watchtower for the nearby village of Campes. The ambiance of our guest house, with its open fireplace, allows you to dream of the past. From our gardens, you can admire the magnificent views of the countryside, including the village of Bournazel in the distance. The trickling river Magot has been providing fresh water to the chateau for centuries, and you might even spot deer drinking from it, just as they have done since the time of Simon de Montfort.
Located just 2 kilometers from Saint Marcel and 4 kilometers from the medieval hilltop village of Cordes sur Ciel, our chateau offers a peaceful retreat while still being close to nearby attractions. We have restored the chateau to a very high standard, ensuring that you have all the modern facilities you need for a comfortable stay. Explore the grounds, relax by the pool, or simply enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area.
As your hosts, Jacques and Marjo, we have a wealth of knowledge about the region. We are more than happy to share our recommendations and help you plan an unforgettable holiday. In addition to our bed and breakfast accommodations, we also offer a beautiful farmhouse for rent, complete with a private swimming pool. Various activities can be arranged, including archery, canoeing, and guided walks. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the famous Cathedral Saint Cécile and explore the medieval villages that seem frozen in time.
