Description for B&B:
Situated in the Perche Sarthois region, the château de Chéronne and its beautifully landscaped park are nestled amidst 400 hectares of enchanting woods and meadows. The tranquil Chéronne river gracefully flows through the front pond, creating a haven for various species of wildlife. The gateway to this magnificent estate, believed to be the original castle, was constructed around 1490 and is recognized by the French National Trust.
The castle itself was built during the 16th century and underwent alterations in the 17th century to remove its defensive architectural elements such as moats and drawbridges. In the 19th century, the main facades were meticulously restored in a renaissance style that adds to its grandeur.
