Description for B&B:

Queens Escape, located in Martel, France, is a charming bed & breakfast and wedding venue. The magnificent Château de La Tuilerie, a 200-year-old castle, was constructed in 1820 by a former mayor of Martel. Its name, inspired by the Belgian Queen and royal family who sought refuge here during WWII, holds historical significance. While the king resided in a separate château, Queens Escape served as a peaceful sanctuary then, and continues to provide a tranquil haven today, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Stepping foot onto the grounds takes you back in time, allowing you to truly breathe and unwind.

The queen theme resonates throughout the castle, as each guest room is named after a remarkable queen. From Margrethe, the Queen of Denmark, to Eleanor of Aquitaine, a former queen of our patron country France and England, our rooms pay homage to these influential women. Other regal names include Catherine the Great, the illustrious figure from Russia, Cleopatra, the iconic Queen of the Nile, and Himiko, the former ruler of Wa, now known as Japan. We are excited to announce the upcoming addition of the Queen Elizabeth II bridal suite. Plan your stay at Queens Escape, a retreat that captures the essence of royalty: https://queensescape.com
