Description for B&B:

Idiartekoborda is a charming farmhouse that was originally an old barn from the seventeenth century. It was transformed into a farmhouse in 1832 and underwent renovations in 2004. The spacious bedrooms are adorned with exposed beams and stone, each equipped with a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings and marvel at the magnificent view of the Basque mountains, which change colors throughout the day. The famous Mont Hautza walls of Iparla can be seen from the property.
Sandrine, the host, prepares delicious breakfasts using locally sourced ingredients. Her husband, Jean-Paul, is happy to guide guests on hiking or mountain biking routes in the area.
There are plenty of attractions to discover nearby, such as the picturesque village of Baïgorry. The location is also conveniently close to the coast, offering a stunning contrast between the impressive peaks of the vineyard and Iparla Irouleguy. Outdoor enthusiasts will find countless hiking trails suitable for all levels, as well as opportunities to explore the forests and observe the preserved flora and fauna of Iraty Hayri.
Just 10km away is St Jean Pied de Port, a popular stop on the St Jacques de Compostela pilgrimage route. The area is also home to vibrant Basque villages like Ainhoa, Espelette, Sare, and Itxassou, as well as lesser-known gems like Banca and Urepel. The Spanish border is nearby, allowing guests to experience the charm and taste the local cuisine of both countries.
For sports enthusiasts, there are various activities to enjoy, including hiking, horseback riding, rafting, kayaking, hydrospeeding, and canyoning in the Upper Gorge Soule. Air sports like paragliding, gliding, and hot air ballooning can also be experienced in nearby locations. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at the rustic Epherra Golf in Souraïde, which is only 20 minutes away. Additionally, there are seven other golf courses along the Basque coast, all within an hour's drive, as well as the beautiful beaches of Biarritz and St Jean de Luz.
