Description for B&B:

Located just 10 minutes east of Montpellier, the common Mauguio Carnon is a melting pot of marshes, rice fields, vineyards, and woodland. The Camargue, with its diverse landscapes, is a country full of nuances between tradition and modernity. The Petite Camargue is particularly unique, with its history of uniting man, bulls, horses, and nature, resulting in an original traditional economy of saline, reed cutting, and viticulture. Mauguio is conveniently situated between Nimes and Montpellier, with easy access to the A9 motorway. The bull, "biou," is a sacred animal associated with the culture of bulls, horses, and men in the area. Costières Camargue, with its mix of land and water, hills and marshes, vineyards and meadows, offers a diverse landscape. The Petite Camargue is a place that inspires extraordinary dreams, with its horses, bulls, and birds captivating the imagination of visitors. Mauguio Carnon serves as the gateway to the Camargue, with the town located between the Etang de l'Or and the resort area. The city has a rich history, being the first medieval town of Lower Languedoc in the Middle Ages. It is also home to one of the largest Spanish communities in France. The city spans over 7,500 hectares, with a significant portion occupied by the lake of Gold and agricultural areas such as market gardens, orchards, and vineyards. L'Etang de l'Or is a wetland of national importance, offering a habitat for diverse flora and fauna. The resort of Carnon, with its barrier beach and marina, is a popular destination for tourists, boasting six kilometers of protected dunes and beaches known for their quality. The city is also advantageous due to its proximity to Montpellier-Méditerranée International Airport and its extensive network of communication. Additionally, the flat land between swamps and the city is often frequented by riders, with numerous stables nearby.
