Directions
By train: From the Central Station S.M. Novella, which is 200 meters away (approximately a 10-minute walk), exit the station from the left-hand side (the exit with a platform roofing and many bus stops). Cross the street to the right and then make a left onto Largo Alinari. Continue straight on this road, which changes its name to National. After the third street on the left, which is Guelph Street, you will find Soggiorno Venere at number 59, just past the restaurant "La Gratella."
By car: Follow the street signs indicating 'Centro'/'Stazione S.M. Novella'/'Fortezza da Basso' (exhibit hall) on the road map. Drive along the wide avenue called 'I Viali' until you reach Viale Lavagnini. At the first traffic lights, turn right (towards Parking Central Market) onto S. Catherine of Alexandria. Continue straight, passing Independence Square, until you reach National street. Turn right onto Via Guelfa, which is the first street on the right (there is always a traffic light with flashing yellow). Soggiorno Venere is located at number 59.
You can unload your luggage and find parking on nearby avenues or in private car parks.
By plane: The closest airport is 'Aeroporto A. Vespucci' in Florence. The airport provides a shuttle bus service to the S.M. Novella station, which runs every half hour. Alternatively, there is a 24-hour taxi service available as well.
The historical center is a 5-minute walk away.
