Description for Gite

"Welcome to 'Le Vieil Aiglun', a historic village dating back to the 16th century. Situated at an impressive altitude of 2,540 ft in Haute Provence, this enchanting location offers breathtaking panoramic views of the picturesque Provence, the majestic Alps, and the stunning Verdon area. Originally abandoned by its inhabitants in the early 20th century, we took the initiative in 2002 to acquire and renovate the remaining habitable buildings, transforming them into charming and comfortable 'gîtes' (self-catering houses) boasting 3 and 4-star ratings. Nestled between the serene landscapes of Provence and the awe-inspiring beauty of the Alps, our serene sanctuary is conveniently located near a small town, ensuring easy access to all necessary amenities, including shops and restaurants. Guests can indulge in our inviting large swimming pool spanning an impressive 13 x 6 sqm, as well as our expansive garden offering stunning views of the surrounding fields and the illuminated ancient Roman church at night. The garden also provides ample seating options, including chairs, armchairs, and hammocks, perfect for unwinding with a good book or simply relishing in the breathtaking panoramic vistas. We extend a warm welcome to you at 'Le Vieil Aiglun'!"
