Description:

Description for B&B:

St. Jeanvrin, a small town in the southern region of Bourges, Cher, holds significance to the family as their place of origin. The house was named in honor of this ancestral connection.

The name "Jeanvrin" is a local variation of "Januarius," referring to St. Januarius of Naples. He was a bishop and martyr in Naples who became one of the fifty chosen patrons of the city. Throughout history, he was believed to have provided protection against various calamities, such as the plague in 1497, 1631, 1698, 1767, and 1779, as well as potential destruction caused by the eruption of Vesuvius.

One notable miracle associated with St. Januarius is the liquefaction of his blood. For over 600 years, his blood, which is normally solid, turns into liquid three times a year in the Cathedral of Naples.
