Description for B&B:
La Grande Lauzade is a historic property situated in Provence, France. It was originally built in the 18th century on the grounds of a former monastery that can be traced back to the 12th century, and even further back to Gallo-Roman times. Sadly, the renowned monastery was looted and completely demolished during the French Revolution, and subsequently sold by the State as a national asset. However, the present-day house was constructed using the original stones and foundation, preserving the rich history of the site.Once a farm and now a charming guest house known as La Grande Lauzade B&B, this property has witnessed centuries of evolution. Nestled amidst vineyards that continue to produce the famous Lauzade wine, the guest house offers access to various levels of gardens for your enjoyment. Just a few steps away from the terrace, you'll find the pool deck shaded by magnificent "platane" trees, along with a 6-person jacuzzi. The lower garden boasts a grand cedar tree that provides a cool retreat from the sun.
Inside the house, you'll discover a fitness room equipped with a power plate, sauna, and a billiard lounge. Additionally, the basement holds a remarkable indoor heated pool.
This lovely "bastide" is located in the picturesque region of Provence, in the south of France. It is close to the beautiful and protected natural landscape of "la plaine des Maures," as well as the French Riviera and the scenic and untamed countryside of "le haut Var."
