La Roseraie is an 18th-century Champagne house that used to be a presbytery. Situated in a tranquil village, it is only 5 km away from one of the largest man-made lakes in Europe.

Our charming guest room, designed in a shabby chic style, offers a spacious suite of 70 m2 with a private lounge, flat-screen TV with NETFLIX, and a library. Set in a magical atmosphere, you will find all the comforts you need, along with the warmth and hospitality of our hostess.

Immerse yourself in the serenity of our 6-acre garden, adorned with numerous extraordinary flowers and plants. The soothing sound of a waterfall and the presence of a koi carp pool will create the perfect ambiance for relaxation.

Indulge in our table d'hôtes, available every evening from 7:30 p.m., where Patricia will delight you with delicious French and local cuisine. Some of the ingredients are sourced from our organic vegetable patch.

To explore the area, we offer complimentary bikes for you to discover the 80 km shoreline of the lake, as well as the scenic mountain bike trails in the vast Dervois forest.

The DER Lake is renowned for its significant role in supporting a diverse range of bird species, making it a vital breeding ground, wintering destination, and migration stopover. With over 200 species, including some that are protected, the lake is a haven for bird enthusiasts.

Boasting three marinas - Nemours, Nuisement, and Giffaumont - all of which have earned the prestigious blue flag label, visitors can enjoy a variety of water activities. From swimming in the crystal-clear waters to fishing, windsurfing, power boating, and even water skiing, there is something for every water sports enthusiast.

For nature lovers, the lake offers approximately 250 km of well-marked hiking and cycling trails. These paths not only encircle the lake in a picturesque 38 km route but also connect to Saint-Dizier along the enchanting Marne canal, spanning 12 km.

The region surrounding Der Lake is also known for its charming half-timbered religious buildings. Noteworthy among them is the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Châtillon-sur-Broué. Marvel at these architectural gems dating back to the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries along the designated tourist route for churches.
