Description for Gite

Eric and Corinne warmly invite you to stay at their 16th-century manor house, nestled in the picturesque countryside near Valognes, Cherbourg, and the historic D-Day beaches. This charming cottage, recently renovated from an 18th-century building, offers two separate apartments, each accommodating either 3 or 4 guests (or the entire cottage for up to 7 guests). Surrounded by beautiful gardens and fields, the cottage provides a peaceful retreat just 12 kilometers from the stunning coastline.

The central location of the manor house allows for easy exploration of numerous attractions in the area. Discover the fascinating "La cité de la mer" in Cherbourg, embark on a day trip to the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernesey, or immerse yourself in the rich history of the D-Day beaches and their iconic landmarks such as Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, and Sainte Mére l'Eglise.

GITE N°1, suitable for 3 guests, offers a cozy ground floor living/dining room with comfortable sofas and a large, traditional fireplace (for decorative purposes only). Adjacent to the living area is a bar equipped with basic cooking facilities such as a microwave and fridge. Upstairs, you will find a spacious room featuring a queen-size bed and a single bed. The bathroom is complete with a bathtub, wash-hand basin, and WC, all adorned with elegant bamboo flooring.

For larger groups, GITE N°2 comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. The ground floor boasts a generously-sized living/dining room with plush sofas and a grand, antique fireplace (non-functional). Entertainment options include a TV, CD/DVD player, and Internet access. The adjacent bar area features a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. Upstairs, two spacious rooms await, each furnished with a queen-size bed and two single beds. The bathroom offers a rejuvenating shower, wash-hand basin, and WC, complemented by striking bamboo flooring.

Outside, guests can enjoy a private garden, with a designated portion reserved exclusively for the cottage occupants. Relax on the patio, surrounded by nature, and savor the tranquility of the countryside. Outdoor seating and a table are also provided for your comfort.

Eric and Corinne look forward to making your stay unforgettable, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere in their historic manor house.
