Description:

Description for B&B:

The village of Morey is situated in the town of BELLEAU, perched 305 meters above sea level on the side of the Natagne valley, crossing from east to west side of the Moselle rating in the Massif of the great Romanesque couronné. It boasts a twelfth-century church dedicated to St. Peter. The population consists of around a hundred villagers, affectionately known as the wolves. Morey Castle, built in the 12th century on the remains of a Templars monastery, was once the fortified house of the lords until the 17th century, when it came under the ownership of JEHAN TOULON Nomeny. Brassel JOLY MOREY took over until the early 1900s, succeeded by George DUCROCQ, a renowned writer. Unfortunately, the castle was destroyed by fire and abandoned in 1985, reducing it to only four walls. However, with great courage and determination, we have managed to transform it into a charming guesthouse with five rooms, set in a picturesque natural landscape. The property features a spacious garden, enclosed by a towering wall exceeding five meters in height. The garden is adorned with various tree species, including chestnut, cedar of Lebanon, lime, copper beeches, oaks, maple, and even houses a delightful duck pond.
