Description for B&B:
The Domaine de Blacons is a charming family residence that effortlessly combines simplicity and elegance, creating a timeless atmosphere. We are dedicated to preserving this property that has been cherished by our family for generations. Moreover, we are passionate about sharing our love for the enchanting Drome Valley, continuing the journey that our parents embarked on nearly four decades ago.Nestled amidst the captivating landscapes of the Drome Valley, between the majestic Vercors and Provence, this 17th century abode showcases the typical architectural style of the region. Comprised of two main buildings perched on a gentle slope, we extend a warm welcome to all our guests, making them feel right at home throughout the year. Surrounded by three hectares of lush gardens, where the symphony of chirping crickets serenades your senses, our property offers the perfect sanctuary for a tranquil escape in a naturally elegant setting. With a commitment to environmental consciousness, the renovations carried out between 2010 and 2013 incorporated ecological materials. Our utmost priority is to ensure that our guests lack nothing, and we are delighted to share our personal experiences and the unique wonders of this area.
The domaine serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the breathtaking Drome region, a paradise for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. Immerse yourself in a plethora of watersports along the River Drome or in the Roanne valley. Paragliding, horse riding, mountain biking, and scenic nature trails await you. The nearby sloping forest of Saou is a haven for hikers and climbers. Mirabel-et-Blacons itself serves as a gateway to the Regional Natural Park of the Vercors and the Valley of Gervanne, boasting refreshing waterfalls, stunning cliffs, and verdant landscapes. The region's exceptional biodiversity thrives due to its favorable climate and organic farming practices, making the Drome the first department in France to be designated Bio de France. Explore the renowned local markets to discover and savor a wide array of exceptional products. For history buffs, a visit to the medieval tower of Crest and the charming mountain villages, brimming with artistic and artisanal creations, promises a rewarding experience recognized by Michelin.
