Description:
Description for B&B:
This description is for a beautiful manor built in the late nineteenth century by an industrialist during the flourishing belle epoque of the textile industry. The building is designed in the "à la lyonnaise" style, with a simple and discreet facade on the roadside to avoid disruption, while the exuberant side provides a view of the industrious city of Tarare through the presence of century-old trees.Although Tarare may not be as prominent as it once was, it has revitalized itself through new activities, particularly with the contribution of Gerflor. The manor itself holds significant historical value, as it was once surrounded and attacked in April 1943. The owner at that time, Albert Giron, who was also the leader of the resistance, managed to escape quietly through the park and eventually ended the war in the town.
Within the manor, there are four guest rooms available for accommodation, along with reception rooms for hosting celebrations. The ambiance within the large house, situated on the outskirts of town, contributes to a theatrical atmosphere, enhanced by the shaded park and a charming duck pond. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the manor's dining room and experience authentic Lyon cuisine at the table d'hôtes.
Accessibility to the manor is convenient, as it is easily reached from the A89 motorway (exit Tarare Center). It is only a 35-minute drive or train ride from Lyon, making it a suitable option for those who wish to visit the capital of Gaul and explore its gastronomic delights.
Furthermore, the manor offers a private enclosed car park for guests' convenience, and WiFi is available for connectivity throughout the premises.
