Description for B&B:
Welcome to Dagmar's Presbytery, your home away from home. Nestled in the heart of Brittany, you will have the opportunity to stay in my enchanting ancient parish house, which was constructed in the early 16th century. As you pass through the iron gate, you will be greeted by the picturesque courtyard, adorned with a vibrant array of red and purple climbing roses. These beautiful flowers embellish the ancient walls and two towers, all constructed from rustic rubble stone in the traditional style of Brittany.
Within these historic walls, you will find respite from the summer heat and warmth on chilly winter days. The guest rooms, located on the second or third floor, offer stunning views of the garden and lush meadows of Brittany.
Indulge in a delightful breakfast at our dining room, complete with a majestic chimney and a cozy fire. Our table, once belonging to a monastery, adds a touch of authenticity to your dining experience. We take pride in serving homemade bread, delectable jams made from the fruits of our garden, and eggs from our very own poultry. Enjoy a cup of traditional French coffee or tea to complete your meal. For those seeking an authentic Breton dinner, Dagmar is delighted to prepare a special meal upon request (starting at 18€/person).
Step back in time in our authentic 16th-century living room, furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs. Relax by the marble chimney with a good book, or treat yourself to an afternoon tea, whiskey, or glass of Champagne (additional charges apply).
If you are looking for outdoor activities, the Golf Course 'Rochers Sevigne,' named after the famous epistler Madame de Sevigné, is just a short 10-minute drive away. The nearby medieval fortress of Vitré is also worth a visit, offering a captivating glimpse into its role during the 15th to 17th centuries and the rich history of Louis XIV's court.
