Welcome to La Petite Vallée, our new cottage in the heart of the beautiful Black Perigord. Xabi, Elise, and their children are thrilled to introduce this charming accommodation.Situated just 1.5 km from the village of Rouffignac St Cernin, our cottage is perfectly located on the Perigueux-Sarlat axis, making it an ideal base for exploring the stunning sites of Périgord. We are more than happy to provide you with recommendations for the best tours and activities during your stay.
With only 1,600 inhabitants, Rouffignac St Cernin offers all the necessary amenities, including a supermarket, ATM, service station, hairdressers, bars, restaurants, post office, and a Sunday market. Despite being conveniently close to these facilities, our cottage provides a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by 5 acres of beautiful wooded surroundings and a breathtaking view.
The cottage itself is comprised of a spacious kitchen, a comfortable lounge/dining room with an office area and internet access (computer not provided), and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. On the ground floor, you will also find a generous bedroom with a 140cm bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a separate WC.
Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms: one with a 140cm bed and another with a 140cm bed and a 90cm bed. There is also a bathroom with a bathtub and another separate WC. In total, our cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 7 people. We provide all the necessary bed linen, towels, shower mats, and kitchen towels.
Outside, you can relax on your terrace by the heated pool and enjoy meals under the covered porch, where a fantastic WEBER barbecue is at your disposal. We are also happy to lend you baby equipment, including a high chair, changing mat, cot, high trek stroller, and park.
In terms of distance, you will find a supermarket, petrol station, doctors, and pharmacy just 2km away. Other nearby attractions include Les Eyzies (16km), the Golf of Marterie (11km), Périgueux (30km), Sarlat (35km), Montignac (Lascaux) (21km), and the Dordogne River (35km).
During your stay, make sure not to miss the incredible Cave Rouffignac (4km), the vibrant Sunday market in Rouffignac, the historical Roque St Christophe (12km), the famous Lascaux caves (21km), the impressive Périgueux Cathedral, the picturesque village of St Leon sur Vezere (18km), and the International Centre of Prehistory (PIP) in Les Eyzies (16km).
