This charming Maison de Maitre was constructed in 1890 and is situated in a peaceful and picturesque setting, surrounded by lush green grounds on the border of Charente and Dordogne, near Angouleme. The interior of the house is exquisitely decorated in a chic Swedish style, creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. This delightful property has been featured in both Jean Darc Living magazine and Maison Chic, showcasing its unique charm.

Ideally located, this is the perfect place to stay while exploring the renowned wine regions of Cognac and Bordeaux, as well as the charming countryside and traditional Brocante markets of Charente and Dordogne. Whether you are looking for a comfortable overnight stay during a longer journey through France or a base to discover the stunning villages in the area, this is the ideal spot. The property is conveniently close to the main north-south autoroute N10, and our knowledgeable hosts can provide excellent recommendations for enjoyable day trips.

To ensure a pleasant stay, a continental breakfast is included. Additionally, for those seeking a taste of culture, Paris is only a 2.5-hour journey away by TGV, making it easily accessible for a day trip. The private suite available offers lovely views of the grounds and gardens, along with a remarkably comfortable king double bed. The suite also features a private bathroom equipped with both a bath and shower, as well as a separate dressing room/sitting room.

For convenient travel, the nearest airports are Bordeaux or Limoges, and there is easy access to Eurostar from London via Paris or Lilles. Please note that there is a minimum stay of 2 nights, and upon arrangement, we can accommodate up to three guests and provide three beds for an additional charge.
