Located in the picturesque countryside of Carrazedo de Montenegro near the Padrela mountains, Quinta dAlagoa spans across 70 hectares (approximately 170 acres) of farmland and woodland. Its primary crops include chestnut, olive, and vine, all of which are organically grown and certified by SOCERT, the Portuguese Organic Quality Control entity. Surrounded by fields and forests, the farm features historically and culturally significant buildings that showcase exceptional rustic architecture.

These buildings, including the old farmhouse, laborers' lodgings, barn, and other outbuildings, have been meticulously restored and adapted for agrotourism. Quinta dAlagoa is proud to be a member of TER (Turismo no Espaço Rural – Rural Tourism Association). The farm buildings form the heart of this expansive estate and have been proposed for listing due to their historical and cultural significance.

The Casa dos Moços, Casa das Mulheres, Coberto da Nora, and Casa do Caseiro, which were once seasonal laborers' housing, exemplify traditional rustic architecture and offer visitors a glimpse into the daily lives of the past. Additionally, the Lagar do Azeite and Lagar do Vinho have been restored to their original working condition, preserving their authentic components.

The Casa da Quinta boasts six double bedrooms, each equipped with an en suite bathroom. The stable has been transformed into a spacious meeting and reunion room suitable for large groups.

In addition to its main crops of vine (covering 3 hectares or approximately 7 acres), olive (covering 16 hectares or approximately 40 acres), and chestnut (covering 23 hectares or approximately 57 acres), Quinta D’Alagoa also cultivates vegetables, maintains orchards, and features 10 hectares (approximately 25 acres) of Lameiro (water meadows). The farm is adorned with oak, poplar, and pine woods.

Since 2001, the entire farm has embraced organic farming practices, certified by SOCERT, ensuring no artificial chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides are used. The cattle on the farm exclusively consume natural fodder.

Traverse farmland, grazing fields, and chestnut groves, while also discovering the serenity of woodlands and forests.
