Capacity: The accommodation has a capacity of 12 people, with 3 furnished lodges available for 2, 4, and 6 people respectively. These unique flats are located in the heart of the mining town in Lens.

Situated just a few steps away from the Louvre-Lens Museum, 11/19 Base, and Stade Bollaert-Delelis, Gîtes de Lecole Buissonniere is centrally located in the mining basin and easily accessible via major highways (A21, A1, A26).

These eco-houses are a result of a family discussion that began several years ago, with a strong focus on sustainable development, the mining heritage, and regional identity. They represent a real-life project based on the abundant richness of our region, particularly the mining area and the people who lived there in the past.

Exclusively designed and manufactured by local artisans, these eco-lodges offer all the modern comforts one could need, including toilets powered by rainwater recovery, showers, kitchenettes, TVs, and free WiFi. These accommodations cater to various audiences, including families, couples, and business travelers.

One of the eco-lodges even features a roof terrace with a breathtaking view of the twin heaps of 11/19 and the lantern tower of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette.

To enhance the guest experience, a local home is available on-site, offering breakfast/snack/meal baskets, regional product sales, and all the necessary tourist information. Additionally, on selected weekends, organized visits to the mining town and the nearby 11/19 site are arranged.

L'Ecole Buissonnière is a truly remarkable and peaceful place, where time seems to stand still. It is a preserved haven that not only looks to the past but also embraces the future through its design and amenities.
