Located just 9 kilometers from Sarlat, this tranquil oasis is a must-visit destination. Situated halfway between Sarlat and Montignac-Lascaux, this charming 18th-century house is nestled within a vast 3-hectare park and boasts a large saltwater swimming pool (14x7m). Each of our five delightful bedrooms, featuring southern exposure, is uniquely decorated and offers a separate entrance, private bathrooms (with shower or bath), and stunning garden views.Start your day off right with a delicious breakfast served in our dining room or under the orchard in our garden, depending on the season. Indulge in our homemade jams, freshly baked bread, and a variety of fruit salad or cakes. Rest assured, the only wake-up call you'll hear in the morning is the beautiful chorus of birdsong, as our haven is far from the bustling noise of the city.
For your convenience, we also offer dinner on select evenings (reservation required). Delight in our traditional local cuisine, featuring delicacies such as foie gras, duck, ceps, and cabecou.
From our holiday rentals, you can easily explore the most breathtaking sites of the Périgord Noir region, including Sarlat, Lascaux, Les Eyzies, and the Dordogne Valley, all within a 20-minute drive. Don't miss out on this peaceful haven, located just 9 kilometers from Sarlat!Thomas Barn is nestled within the beautiful landscaped park of "Granges Hautes". These two independent holiday cottages, each spanning 50 square meters, are perfect for 2 or 3 guests.
The ground floor of each cottage features a cozy living and dining area with a television, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with modern amenities such as a dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, ceramic stove tops, and a washing machine. There are also separate toilets on this level.
Upstairs, you will find a comfortable sleeping room with a spacious double bed (160 cm wide), and in one of the cottages, an additional single bed (90 cm wide). There is also a well-appointed bathroom.
You will have access to a private garden with outdoor furniture and a pool, all within the park. The garden leads to hiking trails that range from 20 minutes to 5 hours, and for the adventurous, a 3-hour walk will take you to the stunning gardens of the Eyrignac Manor.
Thomas Barn is ideally located in the heart of Périgord Noir, with 80% of the region's main attractions just a 20-minute drive away. Explore the charming towns of Sarlat, Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Les Eyzies, Montignac, and Lascaux, as well as the renowned Eyrignac Gardens and the picturesque Dordogne and Vézère valleys. If you are coming from Sarlat, continue towards "Brive La Gaillarde" until you reach "Saint Crépin et Carlucet". At the signboard marking the beginning of the village, proceed straight ahead for approximately 200 meters, ignoring the second signboard on your right for "Saint Crépin". Eventually, you will reach the center of the village with the school on your left and the town hall on your right. To find the way to "Les Granges Hautes", look for the signboard in front of the town hall and turn right. The house is located approximately 100 meters away.
If you are coming from the "A20" motorway, take the "Brive la gaillarde" exit if you are coming from the north, or the "Souillac" exit if you are coming from the south. Follow the signs for Sarlat or Salignac, and in Salignac, continue on the road towards Sarlat for about 4 kilometers. Once you reach "Saint Crépin et Carlucet", go straight ahead for approximately 100 meters before turning left onto the road leading to "Les Granges Hautes". The road begins just in front of the town hall, near the school. The house is located about 100 meters away.
