Surrounding the property, you will often find acres of vibrant sunflowers. As you approach the house, a grand gravelled drive takes you through expansive lawned gardens and an orchard, ultimately leading to the magnificent 200-year-old stone complex. This complex includes a large manor house with attached and detached stone outbuildings.

Description for Gite

This charming stone building was originally a Pigeonnier or dovecote, but has been transformed into a delightful self-contained cottage. With its East/West facing orientation, the cottage enjoys plenty of natural light throughout the day, showcasing its beautiful oak beamed and vaulted ceilings.

Upon entering through the large double doors, you will find a spacious lounge and kitchen/diner, fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and amenities. These include a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, 37" TV with Freesat, microwave, DVD player, cooker, CD player, hob, and Wifi.

The two bedrooms can be configured as either super king or twin beds, and they have been luxuriously furnished with beautiful furniture and sumptuous bedding. Each bedroom also features a large sofa/sofa bed and an en-suite bathroom, offering comfort and convenience. From the windows, you can enjoy lovely views of the sunny front garden and the orchard beyond.

For outdoor relaxation, the private terrace faces west, providing the perfect spot to soak up the evening sun. You can access the terrace either through the kitchen or via the path surrounding the property.

During the off-peak season, we have the flexibility to convert this gite into a one-bedroom property, offering even more options for your stay.

Directions

To reach Auvillar from the A62 motorway, take exit J8 towards Valence d'Agen. After exiting, turn left onto D953 towards Auvillar. At the first roundabout, take the first exit onto D12 towards Auvillar. Continue along this road for approximately 2 miles until you reach a T junction. At the T junction, turn right towards Auvillar.

Drive through the village, passing the clock tower on your left and a signpost to Bardigues on your right. Continue over the speed bumps and a small bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge, take the first right turn, which is signposted Bardigues 4km C2. Look for the sign for Le Farat at the bottom of the property list.

Follow this road for just under 4km. You will go over the motorway and pass a market garden on your right. After a sharp bend to the right, you will see a reclamation yard on your left. Descend down the hill through the woods, and as you emerge on the other side, you will spot Le Farat on your left.

The total distance from the motorway is 10.2km, and the estimated travel time is 16 minutes.
