It is conveniently situated within a mile of Cenac (Cenac et St Julien), a small town that offers essential amenities and is situated on the left bank of the Dordogne River. In close proximity, you will find the delightful bastide town of Domme, as well as the chateau villages of La Roque Gageac, Castlenaud la Chapelle, Vezac, and Beynac. Description for Gite

The apartment is a part of the owner's house, which can also be rented out. The gardens and pool facilities are shared by all occupants of the property.

The main room of the apartment includes a sitting area with a leather Double Sofa Bed and a matching Double Sofa. It is equipped with an HD TV, Freesat(uk) and TNT, as well as DVD and VCR facilities. Additionally, there is a music center with a radio, CD and tape for your enjoyment. The lounge leads to the dining area, which is adjacent to the fully fitted and furnished kitchen. Next to the kitchen, there is a separate utility room that houses essential appliances such as a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and cleaning and ironing equipment.

Connected to the main room is an ante room (dressing room) that provides access to both the double bedroom and the shower room, which includes a hydro-spa shower, toilet, and hand basin.

The entire apartment is well insulated, keeping it cool during the summer and easily heated in the winter months through central heating and/or a wall fire.

Please note that the apartment is only available for responsible adults without children or pets. On occasion, guests may be visited by Eddi, the owner's Border Collie, who may not understand that he is not the ruler of the entire property at all times!

The pool is located in the fully fenced lower garden and offers stunning views facing west over the valley. It is open from June to September, with a possibility of extension into October if the weather permits.

The apartment can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults sleeping on 2 double beds (including 1 sofa bed), and the rental price is adjusted accordingly. The tariff includes electricity, hot water, and central heating (when applicable). Bedding and towels (excluding pool towels) are provided at a laundry charge of 15 euros per bed per week. If only 1 or 2 guests rent the apartment without utilizing the sofa bed, a 25% discount is applied to the tariff rate.

A security deposit of 300 euros is required for all rental periods and must be paid in cash upon arrival. This deposit will be fully refunded if there are no damages or losses incurred during your stay. Please note that the security deposit does not limit guest liability.

Directions

To reach the apartment, follow these revised travel directions:

When coming from Sarlat/Bergerac/Soulliac (D703), continue until you reach the Domme bridge. Cross over the river La Dordogne and enter Cenac. At the crossroads, take a right turn towards St Cybranet (D50), ignoring the left turn towards Domme. Drive straight for approximately 50 meters until you reach the church. Just before the church, take a left turn towards Monbette/Brocante. After around 100 meters, take the second right turn. Be careful as this turn is on a blind summit and can be easily missed. Look out for yellow/red/yellow markings on a telephone pole to help you locate it. Follow the narrow road, and you will soon come across a new house being constructed on your right. Keep going for about 300 meters, and you'll find the apartment as the third house on the right at the top of the rise. Look for stone buzzards on the gate posts to identify it.
