This is a description of a rural house from the 15th century, designed in the typical architectural style of the Besbre - Sologne Bourbonnaise valley. It features a traditional bread oven and fireplace, adding to its rustic charm. The walls are constructed with wooden beams and filled with a mixture of mud and straw, while the foundation is made of stone. The ensuite bathroom is located in a newer masonry building, which was added later. The entire house has been lovingly restored by local craftsmen, who used traditional techniques while also incorporating some modern comforts. The accommodation can sleep up to four people, with four single beds available. The house is conveniently located just 300 meters away from the Sculpture Park Erich Engelbrecht, also known as the Château des Fougis. Our guests have the privilege of enjoying a free visit to this remarkable sculpture park.

This charming gite offers a cozy and rustic retreat for guests seeking a peaceful getaway. The ground floor features a comfortable living room with a fireplace and a traditional bread oven, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Adjacent to the living room is a spacious kitchen with a dining area, providing ample space for preparing and enjoying meals.

On the upper floor, you will find a bedroom with two single beds, as well as a mezzanine area also furnished with two single beds. For added convenience, the twin beds can be easily combined to create double beds in both the bedroom and the mezzanine. The bathroom, located in a separate building called the sheepfold, is accessible only from the outside.

Outside, a large lawn invites guests to relax and unwind, while a grand wooden table offers the perfect setting for al fresco dining. The absence of TV and internet connection fosters an atmosphere of tranquility, providing an excellent opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in a good book or simply enjoy the serenity of their surroundings.

Parking is available on the property, and guests have access to tennis and table tennis facilities. Additionally, a private pond is open for swimming, and various hiking trails, canoeing, karting, quad biking, and other sports activities can be found nearby.

A weekly set of towels and bed linen is included in the rental price. Please note that between October and April, there is an additional charge for electricity, which is based on actual consumption as measured by the power meter from ERDF. A cleaning fee of 50,00 EUR and a tourist tax of 0.60 EUR per person, per night will also apply.
