Sixt Fer à Cheval is a village situated in the Valley High Giffre, nestled among the villages of Samoens, Morillon, and Verchaix in the Alps.
To reach Sixt Fer à Cheval:
- If you are coming from Geneva Cointrin Airport or the train station, or Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport or the train station, or Annecy train station, head towards the A40 motorway.
- Take the A40 motorway towards Chamonix and exit at Cluses towards Morillon and Samoens.
- Follow the main road D4 and then take the D907 towards Samoens.
- Continue on the D907 in the direction of Sixt Fer à Cheval. After passing through the plain of Vallon and a small hamlet called Perret, you will encounter a small road on the left, just in front of a chapel. Take this road towards Mount and turn right at the end of it.
- As you drive through the charming village of Balme and a beautiful forest, you will eventually reach Mount, and from there, you will arrive at Sixt Fer à Cheval.
Sixt Fer à Cheval is located approximately 50 km from Geneva and can be easily accessed via the A40 motorway, making it a convenient destination in the Alps, situated halfway between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc.
