Sue and Dave Scales warmly invite you to their beautifully restored maison-de-maitre. Located in a charming stone hamlet, the property overlooks a peaceful green valley, yet is just a short distance from the vibrant village of St Jean-de-Côle, renowned for its fantastic restaurants. Additionally, the medieval town of Brantôme, a top attraction in the Dordogne, is easily accessible.Conveniently, we are less than an hour's drive from Limoges airport, which provides connections to various destinations in the UK. Bergerac airport is approximately 85km away, while Bordeaux is 100km away. Car rental options are readily available from all these airports.
Our accommodation is filled with natural light and spaciousness, exuding a country-house ambiance with its blend of French and English antiques. Each of our two large bedrooms can accommodate up to four guests and features a private shower room and WC.
The two-acre gardens offer a Mediterranean-style courtyard with shaded terraced seating, as well as extensive stone terraces, lawned gardens, a large swimming pool, and a sun terrace. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the valley from the entire garden.
Available year-round, our rooms are priced at 50 to 80 Euros per room, depending on the number of occupants and the season. Payment is requested in cash (Euros) at the end of your stay.
Situated in the Perigord Vert region of the Dordogne, we are a short distance from the edge of the Limousin National Park and within close proximity to numerous tourist attractions. These include the historic town of Brantôme with its Abbey and extensive waterways, the magnificent Chateau of Puyguilhem, and the caves at Villars. We also highly recommend a visit to the Chateau at Bourdeilles, featuring its historic tower, as well as the cathedral city of Perigueux.
This area offers ample opportunities for walking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, or simply relaxing by the pool.
