Welcome to La Demeure des détectives, your Bed & Breakfast located in the picturesque village of Trainou, just a stone's throw away from the enchanting forest of Orleans. Our guest house boasts an ideal location, close to various points of interest and activities, including the renowned Loire castles and the majestic Cathedral of Orleans. Whether you're into hiking, golf, water sports, horseback riding, or karting, there is something here for everyone!Our vision for this guest house, which can accommodate up to 14 people, goes beyond providing a mere place to rest. Each of our four guest rooms has been meticulously furnished and decorated to transport you to a different era, immersing you in the footsteps of an iconic detective. From the romantic ambiance of Italy, to the imperial allure of China, the Victorian charm of England, and the modern elegance of Sweden, our delightful guest rooms are sure to captivate you.
But our Bed & Breakfast is more than just exquisite accommodations. It offers a vibrant living space with a plethora of activities. In addition to your tranquil, bright, and spacious room, you will have access to nearly 150m² of communal areas and over one hectare of lush gardens. Whether you prefer indoor pursuits such as billiards, piano playing, board games, card games, or simply getting lost in a good book, or outdoor activities like table tennis, French Petanque, Finnish Mölkky, and various ball or racket games, boredom is simply not an option here! To enhance your experience and savor the abundance of fruits and vegetables grown in our garden, we also offer a delectable host table dining option.

Directions for traveling by road:
- From Orléans (25 min): Take the Tangential East and exit at Chécy. Turn left towards Neuville aux Bois until you reach Traînou.
- From Paris (1h30): Take A6B, then N20 to Etampes. Continue on D721 and D921 to Pithiviers. From there, take Loury and join D2152, following the signs to Traînou.
- From central Traînou (2 min): Take rue du Gros Baril. At the end, turn left onto Rue de la Carrière, then right onto the street of Laurendière. After passing the "Traînou" sign, turn right onto des Puiseaux.
For traveling by train:
- The nearest station is Orleans - Aubrais. From there, it is a 25-minute drive, 35 minutes by bus, or 1 hour by bike to reach Traînou.
For traveling by bus:
- Take line 16 "Orleans - Ingrannes" and get off at either the Traînou Stadium stop or the College Traînou stop. The bus timetable can be found on the website ulys-loiret.com. If requested, we can arrange to pick you up as the bus stop is 1km away from the guest house.
