Description for B&B:
The accommodation is a four-storey house located in the heart of Bagnères de Bigorre in the Hautes Pyrenees. Situated in a pleasant residential square called Place Jeanne d’Albret, it is only a two-minute walk to the town center where guests can find various shops, markets, bakeries, restaurants, cafés, and churches. Recently renovated, the house maintains its original features whenever possible, preserving the charm of a typical old French town house. With a history dating back 300 years, the foundations of the house even go back 400 years. Despite its age, the house is equipped with all the necessary modern amenities for a comfortable stay.On the second floor, there is a traditional dining room connected to a modern kitchen. The second floor also houses three double bedrooms, two of which are adjoining (one with a double bed and the other with two single beds), while the third double bedroom has its own balcony overlooking the square. Guests staying in these bedrooms have exclusive access to the adjacent bathroom, shower, and WC. Additionally, the attic rooms on the third floor can accommodate three more guests and provide wash sinks along with access to a sunny roof terrace. Another bathroom with a bath and shower can be found on the first floor, along with two additional WCs.
Breakfast is served at the convenience of the guests, with options ranging from Continental and French to a classic cereal, toast, and eggs combination. Guests are also welcome to request evening meals, as the host is a skilled cook and aims to accommodate their preferences. Drawing inspiration from the local traditional cuisine, the host typically offers a four-course inclusive menu with wine. More information about the menu can be found on the "prices" page.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the house at no extra charge, and guests have exclusive access to a comfortable lounge equipped with a TV that receives both French and UK channels. A collection of DVDs in both languages is also available for guests to enjoy. If needed, the host can provide storage space for bikes and ski equipment, and street parking is free. A comprehensive assortment of maps and guides to the region is also available for guests to borrow.
The price for an evening meal is 25 euros.
