Directions
To reach your destination from Lyon, you have two options. You can either take Highway A7 or A46 towards Marseille. Just before reaching Givors, switch to Highway A47 in the direction of St Etienne/Clermont Ferrand. Once you arrive in St Etienne, continue on the National 88 towards Le Puy en Velay. This road is a 2x2 way road.
After passing through Monistrol s/loire, take the St Maurice exit, which is approximately 6-7 kilometers ahead. Go under the N88 to enter St Maurice de Lignons village. Continue straight through the village until you reach the end. Just before exiting, you will come across a parking lot on your right. At this intersection, turn left towards Maubourg-Les Yverras-Chateau de Maubourg (there is a steel cross indicating the intersection).
Follow this road for about 1 kilometer, which will take you through a wooded area with a descent followed by an ascent. Once you exit the woods, continue downhill for another 200 meters. At the bottom of the descent, you will see a group of stoned houses on your left. La Desirade home is a large stoned farm building with a wooden gate. Have a safe journey!
If you prefer to travel by train, you can take a train to Bas-Monistrol-sur-Loire and then catch a taxi to your destination. Alternatively, if you choose to travel by plane, you can fly to either Saint-Etienne or Lyon St-Exupéry airports.
