Description for Gite
Pascoso is a haven for nature enthusiasts, boasting an unparalleled immersion in the natural surroundings. However, it is conveniently located near the art cities of Tuscany, including Lucca, Pisa, Florence, and Siena, as well as the renowned Italian beaches of Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio, all within a 30-mile radius. Additionally, the area is home to some of Italy's most picturesque golf courses, such as Golf Alisea, Montecatini Golf Club, Club Golf Montelupo, Tirrenia Golf Club, Cosmopolitan Golf & Country Club, and Golf Club Fontevivo, all less than an hour's drive away.Pascoso truly caters to hikers, with numerous paths suitable for mountain bikes and horses, which can be rented in the area. Some hikes may require a short drive to reach the starting point, while others allow you to set off directly from your accommodation. Off-road vehicle enthusiasts will find endless opportunities to explore. Fishing enthusiasts can also enjoy a designated section of the Turrite Stream, abundant with trout. However, due to low water levels, the fish tend to be smaller in size. In Pascoso, the only sounds you'll hear are the barking of dogs and the conversations of locals, as tranquility reigns throughout the mountainside. The area is perfect for hiking, horseback riding (with two nearby barns offering horse rentals), and mountain biking.

Directions
To reach Pascoso, you must first arrive at Lucca. If you are coming from North Italy (Milan) or South Italy (Rome), you will reach Florence first. From Florence North, take the motorway to Pisa North (Pisa Nord) without leaving the Milan to Rome route. After approximately 50 kilometers (35-40 miles), you will reach Lucca. Exit the motorway at either Lucca West (Lucca Ovest) or Lucca East (Lucca Est). In Lucca, take the state road 12 (SS 12) in the direction of Abetone/Garfagnana, following the road signs. After about 5-6 kilometers from Lucca, you will reach Ponte a Moriano. Turn left and continue following the signs for Abetone/Garfagnana. You will encounter four tunnels, and approximately 1 mile after the fourth tunnel, turn right towards Borgo a Mozzano. After about 2 miles, you will reach Diecimo in about 5 minutes of driving. 200 meters after the road sign for "Diecimo" on the right side of the road, you will find a Tamoil gasoline pump on the left side. After another 100 meters, turn left following the road sign for "Pescaglia." There is only one asphalt road, which will lead you to Pescaglia (8-10 km from Diecimo) and then Pascoso (6-7 km from Pescaglia).
