Catherine and Benoit extend a warm invitation to join them throughout the year at their charming, renovated stone farmhouse in the Massif des Bornes-Aravis.You will find four inviting bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom and separate toilet. These cozy rooms can comfortably accommodate up to three guests, while the family room can accommodate up to four.
Our guests have access to a spacious lounge, complete with a large table for gathering and a comfortable reading area filled with an extensive collection of books and board games.
For those interested, we occasionally offer dinner at our table d'hôte for groups, with advance reservation.
A short distance away, the Col de la Forclaz offers breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters of Lake Annecy. This mountain pass is renowned for attracting paragliders, hang gliders, cyclists, and hikers alike.
Whether you prefer gliding through the air, snow, or water, cycling, mountain hiking, or simply unwinding in a peaceful and serene setting, la Chavane is sure to captivate you.

Directions
* If you are coming from Annecy, drive along the eastern shore of the lake and pass through Annecy-le-Vieux, Veyrier du Lac, and Menthon St Bernard. After passing Echarvines, just before entering Talloires, take the D42 road towards Col de la Forclaz / Montmin. Skip Vérel and continue over Col de la Forclaz, passing through Montmin Chef-Lieu. After 500 m, at the corner of the hamlet of Ferriere, take the small road opposite direction Montmin Plan.
* If you are coming from Ugine / Albertville, follow the signs for Annecy. Go around Faverges Marlens and stay on the D1508 road, which temporarily becomes a 4-way. At the second roundabout after the end of the 4-way, take the D42 road (1st exit) towards Montmin / Col de la Forclaz. Cross Vesonne and start climbing towards Montmin. In the hamlet of La Ferriere, take the small road on the right that leads to Plan Montmin through a hairpin turn.
* Once you are on the communal route to Plan Montmin, continue driving for 1.5 km until you reach the top village of Plan Montmin. Drive through the village and continue until you reach the bottom of Plan Montmin, which is 100 m away. The Chavane, the destination you are looking for, is the first house on the left side, located in front of a meadow where a small chalet stands.
