Vers 1850, Jules Romain Alexandre Cloud, a carpenter, buys the ruins of the apple crusher in the village of Saint Siméon. At the confluence of the Presles and Piétré streams, he can build a spillway and a mill race, construct a dam, to divert water to the wheel of his sawmill that he builds perpendicular to the press; the carpentry is curious, as he uses twisted, arched, knotted beams that he would not have used for a client. He later adds his own house.
In 1955, an antique dealer and fresco professor buys the whole property. He will be the one to restore the circular trough, the wooden mechanism and the stone mill of the crusher, the boxwood gear wheel; he will embellish the place with woodwork, doors, alcoves, fireplaces, and 17th-century stairs, naming it "Moulin de Mizande" after the spring that bubbles in the middle of the meadows, not far from the one that Sanctus Simeon made gush forth with his staff, the stylite who came to preach in Gaul in the 4th century.
The site is listed by the National Museum of Natural History because in early April, false buttercups thrive there, while they have disappeared from the rest of the Ile-de-France region.
The current owner has built a parking lot, a garage, an entrance porch, restored the wheel and the mill race, expanded the stables, converted the attic of the house, and improved the comfort while respecting the character of the place.
